Hi there!!  We've got a new challenge at Stamptacular Sunday today!

This week's challenge is…
“Borders & Frames!”

For this weeks challenge you will create any card that includes at least one border and/or frame on it! Oh…and don’t forget to stamp! After all, we don’t call this STAMPtacular for nothing!
You will have from now until midnight (EST) November 5h, 2011 to complete this challenge and post a DIRECT LINK to your submission into our InLinkz in order to be entered into the drawing for this week's fabulous prize donated by:

PRIZE: $10 Gift Certificate

I've used a Pre-Colored image from Meljen's Designs and framed it with a raised embossed mat.  I added a few i-rock gems to the wreath for some shine.

I stamped the sentiment and attached it with a bit of a "bow" to give it some dimension.  I also traced around a few of the embossed circles with a glitter pen to give it a bit of sparkle.

Challenges:
Totally Gorjuss - I Remember (This card makes me think of a wreath making class that my Mom and I took years and years ago!)

Rockin' Sentimental Sundays

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Saturday, October 22, 2011 18 stamps of approval
Our challenge for you this week at Sentimental Sundays is

Halloween!

If you haven't noticed by my blog lately, I LOVE Halloween cards!  I tend to make way more than I need to send out every year, so my collection keeps growing and growing!  It really is my favorite card season, I love all the creepy images and spooky sentiments!  And, don't get me started on the colors!!  Orange and Black have always been fantastic, but whoever decided to toss in Green and Purple deserves a Medal!!  LOVE!

Ok, on to my card!  I love this one!  I'm surprised that I managed to not post it for so long, as I made it a few weeks ago for this challenge!

Here's one of my newest Tiddly Inks images, rockin' her boots and pumpkin basket!

You know, if I had colored her dress pink and given her pink hair, she would look like my daughter last Halloween!  Uh-Oh... now I need to go make another Halloween card!  Hahaha!
Have Fun!

Halloween Wreath

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Thursday, October 20, 2011 1 stamps of approval
Hiya!

I wanted to share with you a wreath that I made for our front door for Halloween today!

Recently, my Mom, daughter and I joined a group of girlfriends for a weekend at the beach.  Each of us brought a craft project to teach during the weekend, and this was what I taught.

I found the idea for this fun wreath at Pinterest (I'm a PROUD Pinterest addict!) and I adapted it just a little bit to fit my style.

The original just had letters that spelled out "BOO", but I used a big fancy bow and fun wooden halloween decorations instead.
I used a simple 13" wreath from the $1 store and spray painted it black before tying on the burlap strips.

We had 2 little girls (age 6 & 7) with us at the beach, so I brought 2 smaller 9" wreaths for them.  This is the one that my Emily made for her bedroom door.

As you can see, I had different types of ribbon for everyone to choose from, and different decorations, too!  Emily loved the skeleton!  The glittery spiders were lots of fun, too and I decided to add one to my ribbon after I took my picture.

I used to make a lot of wreaths and I think I'll get back into that hobby.  I would love to have a new wreath to display for each holiday.  I already have an idea for a Thanksgiving wreath that I am hoping to work on this weekend...

Stamptacular - You Choose!

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Sunday, October 16, 2011 0 stamps of approval
Aaaah.. Anything Goes at Stamptacular Sunday this week!  How COOL is that??

And, our sponsors are Bugaboo and The Charm Barn, even cooler, right??

Big thanks to Bugaboo for providing Halloween Skelekinz Topper, I really had a blast coloring this image!

I'm really happy with how cute this turned out, even though it is so simple!  I really loved stitching the edges of the top note die and I think the funky bow really matches the style of the image.

Hope to see you play along this week!

Emily and I made these for a place setting at our recent crafting retreat at the beach.  They were so much fun to make and she had a lot of fun helping me out with them!

I just love these fan folded medallions, they're so easy and look awesome!  Add some Jelly Belly's and you just can't go wrong!

I hope you can join our challenge this week, I love checking out all the fancy folds.  Maybe one day I'll even get to making a few fancy fold cards!!  Hehehe!

Have Fun,

Stamptacular Sunday #133

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Sunday, October 09, 2011 3 stamps of approval
Hey Stampin' Friends!!

Our new challenge at Stamptacular Sunday is SOOOOO Distressing!

I'm quite distressed... as I don't do much distressing on my cards, but this was fun!

I opted for a tall card, as my witchy (you've seen a lot of her, haven't you?) is rather tall and she took up too much space on a standard size card, but I love her anyway!

I scraped up the edges of the image, sponged some ink all over the place and added some shredded burlap scrap... I also love the zig zag ribbon that I added at the last minute!

We're sponsored this week by

AND

Awesome Prizes from Awesome Sponsors!

Hope you'll come get distressed with us!

Have Fun!

Sentimental Sundays #76

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Saturday, October 08, 2011 3 stamps of approval
Our challenge this week at Sentimental Sundays should get you crafting!  Anything Goes!!  (Just don't forget your sentiment!)

I created this beautiful card at my local stampin' group (Thank You, Sandy!) a few weeks ago and thought that it was a perfect card to showcase in October.  I keep hearing about this campaign, not sure if it's just local, but I like the saying - "Let's make PINK just another color"

I love this card - the pink, the pearls and the touch of black... not to mention the sentiment!  I'm all for making PINK just another color and I hope you are, too!

Come play along at Sentimental Sundays, we'd love to see you!

Vrooming by with Birthday Wishes!

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Tuesday, October 04, 2011 4 stamps of approval
I needed to make a quick card for a 6 year old's birthday party this past weekend.  He likes cars, so I grabbed an old favorite Meljen's image and the first scrap of patterned paper that I could find!  I colored up the image to match the paper, embossed some cardstock, added some brads and viola!  Instant birthday card!  Birthday boy wasn't at all interested in the card, but Mom was sure impressed!  LOL!

Sentimental Sundays #75

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Sunday, October 02, 2011 4 stamps of approval
This week at Sentimental Sundays we want to see stitching, sewing or sewing themed images (don't forget a sentiment!)

I used one of my newer Sew Easy wheels to create the template for my pennant banner and stitched it with brown floss.  I love that it mimicked the banner on the paper, as well a cute little Kate's pennants (from Saturated Canary)

Grab your needle and thread and join us this week!
