"CASE"-ing my friend Lisa!

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Monday, May 09, 2011 7 stamps of approval
My sweet friend, Lisa is being showCASEd on the Farm Fresh Challenge blog today!!  She created such a beautiful card, the Farm Fresh crew wants to see cards CASE'd from it!!  (Copy And Share Everything... Create And Share Everything?)

So, I grabbed a TGF digi, colored her up and added some cute papers... loved Lisa's card and I really loved creating something "similar"!

Here's mine:
(hmmm.... a bit of a glare from my shimmery paper...)

And, just in case you're curious - here's Lisa's original

So, how'd I do?

I'd also like to enter this card into the challenges at:

Hi everyone!!

Happy New Year!!!  I can't believe it's 2011.. wow..

So - Stamptacular Sunday has a wonderful new challenge to kick off the new year and I've made a Celebration card to go with it!

We've given you a photo to use as inspiration for your card today and I am so excited to see how the photo inspires you!

Here's my card

and here's the photo that inspired it:

I took the colors of her beautiful dress, colored my Twisted Tea (from The Greeting Farm) images' hair the same color and added some golden tones as well.  I love my Skeleton Scroll embossing folder and I seem to use it quite a bit, even though it's not Halloween anymore!  LOL!

Have fun with our challenge this week!

Party Like a Rock Star!

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 3 stamps of approval
I made this card for the Anyone for Anya challenge - they're celebrating their birthday this week - and so am I!! So, this is my birthday card to me!!

I really love how this one turned out, I think it's my favorite!! I cut the nestie shape out of the patterned paper, and mounted it on foam dots above the sentiment, making the sentiment recessed. I also added some sponging around the sentiment and I think I maybe should have sponged a little around the image, as well... I had a ton of fun coloring her up!! I just love her sparkly hair and eyeshadow! All dressed up and ready to party!  Oh, and notice all those amazing rhinestones??  I got an i-Rock for my birthday (from my in-laws) and I LOVE it!!  It's so much fun!!!

Happy Birthday to Anyone For Anya - looking forward to another fun-filled year of awesome challenges!!

Challenge Saturday

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Saturday, February 20, 2010 12 stamps of approval
Evening All!

Just wanted to share a couple of challenge cards with you -
Here's Number One:  I think I hit a record amount of challenges with this card!  It started with Farm Fresh Friday, which is a color combo.  An interesting combo, but I really like the result!  Anyone For Anya and Totally Gorjuss want to see flowers, so there's flowers in the patterned paper & in Anya's hair.  Stamp Something wants to ring in Spring and I chose to use colors that I think are springy, especially the Guava.  The Pink Elephant wants to see ribbon.  And, Stampin' For The Weekend provided me with a fun sketch!

For challenges:
Farm Fresh Friday - Colors: Chocolate, Kraft, Guava
Anyone For Anya - Flower Power
Totally Gorjuss - Flower Power
Stamp Something - Touch of Spring (or spring colors)
inside detail:
What'd I Use?
Image: The Greeting Farm "Hippie Anya"
Markers: Copics
Kraft paper: My Mind's Eye
Guava paper: Core'dinations
Patterned paper: Daisy Bucket
Nesties: Oval & Scallop Oval
Build-A-Brad
Ribbon: from my stash
It was hard to keep simple and not add layers and embellies and "stuff" to this card, but it was fun and I like the way it turned out!  It will make a nice quick card for those birthdays that always seem to sneak up on me!

Pals Paper Arts - K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple, Sweetie)

What'd I Use?

White Gel Pen
Embossing: Cuttlebug "Happy Birthday"

Thursday Challenges

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Thursday, January 28, 2010 7 stamps of approval
Good afternoon!
I was pretty bummed out about the Greeting Farm relay challenge ending abruptly (although, with good reason), so I didn't get any stamping done yesterday.  I did receive my free relay image yesterday, though, and I knew that, even if the challenge was cancelled, I would want to create a card with Prince Ian, anyway.  Especially since I have my very own Prince Iain! :)  I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers.  I had to do faux stitching on this one, because my little guy was sleeping in my craft room and I really didn't want to wake him up with my sewing machine!

All 3 of today's cards fit in with the challenge this week at KL Stampin N Scrappin - which is Nesties, Punches and Dies, OH MY!
What'd I Use?
Markers: Copics
Nesties: Petite Oval, Petite Scallop Oval
Punches: Word Window, Scallop Edge
Papers & Cardstock: leftovers from a kit from my LSS
Buttons & Fibers: from my stash

Cute Card Thursday want to see Blooming Gorgeous creations... well, I don't know about Gorgeous, but I think I got the Blooming covered!

What'd I Use?
Image: Great Impressions
Markers: Copics
Sizzix: Top Note Die
Ribbon, Paper, button & Flowers: from my stash

and Spoon Full of Sugar (Freestyle)
This one was fun!  Nutsy is soooo fun to play with!  Isn't he just the cutest?  He's got a surprise for YOU!

What'd I Use?

**By the way - what do you think of my new watermark?  My wonderful, sweet, amazing, awesome friend, Callie made it for me!  Isn't it cool!  She's just the bestest!!  Stay tuned, because you may be able to get one from her soon, too!  :)**

Cards, Cards, Cards - and a notebook!

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Monday, January 25, 2010 9 stamps of approval
I'm on a roll!  I've made at least 4 cards a day for the past 3 days!  I really hope my mojo stays around for a while because I've been having a great time!

And Digi Images - Wow!  I can't believe that out of ALL the cards I've made this week, I've only actually inked up a stamp once?  Sheesh!  And I even just got my new Unity kit of the month on Saturday!  I'm sure I'll get back to inking again, but this sure is fun!

We'll start with my Relay card for The Greeting Farm.  Yesterday I made THIS card using Mer Ian, a free image that we got to start the relay.  Since I did the card, I got another image today!  This is Charlotte, she's really cute!  Right when I saw her, I thought Rock Star!  She's just cool!

Another Fun Day of Challenge cards!

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Sunday, January 24, 2010 7 stamps of approval
Hi All!

Even though I woke up feeling kinda crummy, think I'm coming down with a cold - and the kids, too :(  I did manage to get some Me Time in my craft room again today!

So, I went through more of my favorite challenge blogs and found some more that I wanted to enter this week!  I think this is a record for me!

To start with, I did the Day 1 CHA Relay Challenge at The Greeting Farm.  They gave everyone a free digi image to play with today, and if you make a card using that image, you get another free image to make a card with, then you get another... well, you get the idea!  I managed to get this one image printed before my printer ran out of ink today, so tomorrow I will have to run out and get more ink!

What'd I Use:
Image: Mer Ian by The Greeting Farm
Markers: Copics
Wave punch: Fiskars?
Eyelets: Crop-o-Dile
Ribbon, String, paper: from my stash

This card is for the sketch at Stampin' For The Weekend I've never entered a challenge here before, but I liked the sketch, so there's a first time for everything right?

Hubby says this is his favorite... hmmm.. wonder why?

What'd I Use?
Markers: Copics, Souffle and glitter pen
Nesties: Oval and Scallop Oval
Embossing: Meadow Lark by Cuttlebug
Ribbon, flowers, brads from my stash

This last one is for the Corrosive Challenge blog.  Their challenge this week is Fancy Folds - so I finally got a chance to make an easel card!

What'd I Use?
Markers: Copics
Papers: My Mind's Eye
Die Cuts: My Mind's Eye
Nesties: Circle & Scallop Circle
Brads & Images: from my stash

I sure had a fun time today - hope you like what I made to share with you!

An amazing sketch again this week, as always and here is my take on it:

SSC #22 - Scallop Mania

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Sunday, August 30, 2009 10 stamps of approval
Hello Stamping Friends!!

I'm pretty excited about this project, because it's the first thing I've done in what feels like weeks!! No kidding! There has been so much going on around here that I haven't had any time at all to sequester myself in my craft room and play! And I've missed it! I had about 1/2 an hour to myself this evening and I decided to go downstairs to my room and see what I could do, even if it was just clean things up a bit.. but once I got my hands on paper and stamps, there was no stopping me! I'm so excited, because now I can feel the mojo flowing and I am ready to get back to stamping everyday! Too bad I have to work all weekend... oh well, gotta pay for the stamps somehow, right?

Anywhoo.... onto the card! This weeks challenge at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge is Scallops, Scallops, Scallops! I think I met that requirement.. maybe.. although I wonder if I should have put a few more scallops on there... hmmm...

This is my brand new Halloween Anya/Ian set from The Greeting Farm (Looooove it!) and the new Scallop Octagon Nesties that I got for my birthday from my in-laws (Thanks!!) Add some rub on's, some pearls and some fuzzy spiders and "viola!" - cuteness! This is actually an envelope card that I am hoping a candy bar will fit in. I've used a magnet fastener under the scallops to hold it closed.

Well, there it is! I sure hope you like it and I hope that I've inspired you to go grab your scallops and create something wonderful for our challenge this week!

Thanks for stopping by! And don't forget to visit the rest of the awesome design team and see how they've used scallops this week! Priscilla, Nikki, Liza, Line, Kristin, Janneke, Jilly, Joanne, Carly, and Paula

SSC #21 - 3-D

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Sunday, August 23, 2009 2 stamps of approval
Hello Stampers!

We've got a fun one for you at Stamptacular this week! Let's see some 3-D cards! Make them pop, make them stand out!

As always, the Design Team is on top of their game, creating fantastic projects to inspire you! Have you gotten your submission in to join the Stamptacular Design Team? Here are the lovely ladies, be sure to check them out and send them some love! Line, Carly, Joanne, Kristin, Janneke, Liza, Jilly, Nikki, Paula and Priscilla

This is the card that I've made for you this week. I hope you like it!
Hula Anya from the Greeting farm sits atop Stampin' Up! cardstock in Whisper White, So Saffron, Old Olive and Regal Rose. She's colored with Copic markers and peeks out from behind a Peony Nestability Window. The flower, button, fiber, ricrac and pearls are from my stash. The sentiment is punched with the Stampin' Up! word window punch.

Did my Mojo come home?

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 21 stamps of approval
Ok, so my Mojo up and went on vacation and left me behind... for shame!

I had some time today while Emily was at daycamp and Bradley was snoozing on the floor, so I tried to muster up a tiny bit of mojo to enter some challenges! I think I did ok to begin with... but I think I may have train-wrecked the last card! We'll see.. maybe it will grow on me!

This card is for Cupcake Craft Challenges #45 - A sketch... (I think almost everyone has sketches this week!!)
This card uses an image (Tilda?) that was sent by a friend (Norma, maybe?), My Mind's Eye papers, Scallop Oval and Classic Oval Nesties, Copic and Stampin' Up! markers and cardstock. The letters I believe are also My Mind's Eye, but don't hold me to that...

This next card is for the House Mouse and Friends challenge #43. This is one of my most favoritest stamps and I always love coloring these guys.. makes me want a nice cold martini - dry, extra olives, please! This is actually the first card I did today. This card uses House Mouse stamps, Stampin' Up! cardstock and ribbon, Copics and Stampin' Up! markers, Oval Nesties and an egg punch. I scored the cardstock in the grid pattern with my Scor-Pal.

This last card... well.. I think I may have pushed my mojo a little far with this one.. It's a little busy, a little crazy and maybe even a little chaotic? Hmm... I think I have a friend with a son who's birthday is soon? Maybe he'll like it! This one is for The Pink Elephant's sketch this week.

This card uses DCWV patterned paper, Stampin' Up! cardstock, The Greeting Farm stamps (Wild Things), Copics and Stampin' Up! markers.

Thanks for stopping by!
