Card Makin' Mamas Goes GREEN

March... Spring... St. Patrick's Day... GREEN!

Card Makin' Mamas wants to see some GREEN on your cards this week!

We are sponsored by Designed To Color, a new online magazine dedicated to coloring.  This amazing magazine is owned by my awesome friend, Carisa and she has done an amazing job!  She has always inspired me with her beautiful coloring!

Come join us and show us your green at Card Makin Mamas!

Age is Just a State of Mind...

A fun sentiment for this card, I think!

This is a card that I made for our "Something New" challenge at Card Makin' Mamas!

My "Something New" is this adorable image that I bought last week from Saturated Canary, Ellie's Birthday

She's just a cutie!  I used some metallic colored pencils that I've had forever because I wanted a softer, sketchier look to her and I think it goes well with the soft purple paper and ribbon.  A little sparkle to glam it up just a bit and I've got a great card for my "birthday box" that I hope to add to throughout the year.  I don't know about you, but I never seem to have a birthday card handy when I need one, so I am hoping to make an assortment of birthday cards and keep them together in a box so that I can easily find one when I need it!

I hope you can join our challenge at Card Makin' Mamas!

Our challenge these 2 weeks is:

For Someone Special!

Pretty easy challenge this week - anything for anyone special - just remember that we are the CARD Makin' Mamas, so your project really does NEED to be a CARD!

I've designed a fun Get Well card for our challenge, using one of Meljen's Designs newer images, Doctor Bear.  The sentiment is a little hard to make out in the photo, so it says "I listen to the voices in my stethoscope"  Hoping that a silly sentiment brings a smile to a loved one!

An easy and fun challenge with a chance to win 4 free Meljen's images, what more incentive do you need to make a card this week?  You've got 2 full weeks to get an entry in, so have some fun!  I'm excited to see what you create!

Our sponsor at Card Makin Mamas this week is Paper Makeup Stamps with a wonderful prize of a $15 Gift Certificate in their shop!  $15 can go a long way with all of the amazing word art options they have!  And, of course, the fairies!!

I've used Chelsea the Fairy on my creation for you today

Come play along with the Mamas!  There's still another week to get your entries in for your chance to win that $15 from Paper Makeup Stamps!

Card Makin' Mamas #19

Card Makin' Mamas meets Paper Makeup Stamps!!

We are so excited to be sponsored by the wonderful Paper Makeup Stamps for this challenge!

I wanted to do something a little different this week, as much as I LOVE coloring these beautiful fairies, I wanted to try embossing one to make it stand out against the springy paper.  What I love is that this is a quick and pretty card and I had a lot of fun putting it together!

Our challenge at Card Makin' Mamas is SPRING COLORS - doesn't have to be Spring or Easter themed, it just needs to use the colors of Spring.

Paper Makeup Stamps is offering up a $15 gift certificate to our random winner!  Thanks Paper Makeup Stamps!!

Come play along with the Mama's this week - and don't forget, there are only a couple more days to get your entry in for our DT call - the last day to enter is April 17th.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Stamp Something - April Showers

Cute Card Thursday - Weather Inspired

Craft Us Crazy - Thinking of You

Crafty Purple Frog - Touchy Feely (glittery heat embossing)

Card Makin' Mamas #18

Time to play along with the Card Makin' Mamas again!

This week we are challenging you to

EMBELLISH IT!

Show us your embellies!!

Our sponsor is Wink Wink Ink and they have kindly provided the DT with some gorgeous images to play with!

Here is a simple but fun card that I've made using their Chickadee Border image

As soon as I saw this image, I knew I wanted to do something special with their little heart shaped tummies!  Glad I picked up a bunch of heart shaped brads at the CKC show this past weekend!  They fit perfectly and look so cute!

Come play along with us this week, we'd love to see how you use your embellishments!

Card Makin' Mamas #17

Karen's Doodles is sponsoring us at Card Makin' Mamas this week!  And what better challenge for them to sponsor than ANIMALS??  Karen has some super cute animals to use and has offered up an image to each of the Design Team members this week - Thank You!

I chose to use Ollie and his new gal, Olga for my card, and this time I actually colored them up as Ostriches instead of Flamingoes!  I don't know why, but I ALWAYS reach for my pink markers when I color these images!!  But, I think they look awesome in Ostrich colors, too!!

This card is a little different for me... there's very little layering, the image isn't matted and I cut out almost everything!  The grass is actually part of the paper, the clouds are too, but I cut them out and glued them back on to add dimension.. of course I HAD to use my Nesties and cut out some hearts!  And, I actually "fussy-cut" the lovebirds instead of using Nesties or keeping them square.  All in all, I like the effect and think it's a really cute card!  If I say so myself, that is!  I hope you like it, too!

This cards wants to play along in the Keep It Simple challenge at Paper Sundaes this week :)

Card Makin' Mamas #17

Things are looking GREEN at Card Makin' Mamas this week!

Our wonderful sponsor, Some Odd Girl, has provided each of us with a fun image to play with, and we have combined it with our challenge of

Something Green

I'm just a wee bit late with my card this week, due to wisdom tooth issues, but better late than never and here it is!

If you haven't had a chance to join our Green challenge yet, there is still plenty of time!  Our challenges run for 2 weeks, so you still have over a week left to get your entry in.  Some Odd Girl is offering up a wonderful prize that I'm sure you would love to win!  So, come play along!

Oh, and you know what?  The colors I used also fit in the challenge over at Hello Cutie - have you visited this new challenge blog yet?  This is an ALL Craft challenge, not limited to papercrafts and we would LOVE to have you play along with us there, too!
