I am so ready for this cold weather to move on and for things to warm up a bit!  The wind can go away anytime now, as well!!  So, being in a spring mood, I grabbed some springy papers and a fun image to make this cute card!

I'd also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Meljens Designs November 16th Special Release Display
These are just so cute and fun!  Each of these new, special images can be purchased in the Meljen's shop at Whimsy Stamps.

Please take a moment today to hug your loved ones, remember those that have passed and treasure those that are with us.  Life is short and time passes so quickly!

The Meljen's Design team has created some amazing cards to share with you using this special release - some have been posted on the challenge blog today, most are on the DT members blogs and more will be posted on Thursday with the new challenge.  I hope you get a chance to visit the team and leave them some love.

Meljen's Inspiration!

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Monday, August 30, 2010 3 stamps of approval
It's still birthday week at Meljen's!

There is a ton of beautiful cards that I just posted on our challenge blog to inspire you, so you should really go check it out!  The Design Team has really gone all out to impress you!

Here's another card that I made using this week's new release images.  This time I chose "Ride Em Cowgirl", I just think she is adorable!  My Dad says that she looks like my Emily... yea, I can see that!  I think she may just be almost as rambunctious as my Emily, too, from the looks of it!

Here's Emily with Bradley in January.... What do you think?

I think Emily could have modeled for this image!!!  LOL!  This is one of the many things that I love about Meljen's Designs!  Her children images always make me think of my own babies :)

If you haven't had a chance to join our Birthday challenge, you still have just a little bit of time left!  Come on, join the party!

Also, today is the last day to get Meljen's images for 25% off at Whimsy Stamps!  Grab your wish list and start shopping!

This one also fits the following challenges:
Oh, Alice - Girly Theme
Christmas Stampin All Year Long - Anything but Christmas
Sew Many Challenges - Happy Birthday
Cute Card Thursday - Dieing for a Punch (no punches or die cuts here!)

Cuddle Cloud Baby

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Monday, August 09, 2010 2 stamps of approval
Here's a card that I made for a friend of mine.

She called me and said that her cousin was having a baby and asked if I could make a card for her and of course, I said Sure!  She wanted a card that could be kept as a keepsake, so I made an Easel card using my circle and scallop circle Nesties.  Also, since baby was born just a little early, I was able to add all the special info before sending it out.

So here's what I made
(I've blurred out baby's name)

I hope the parents like it!

I'll toss this one in the hat at

Miss Kellita in White

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Saturday, August 07, 2010 4 stamps of approval
Lil' Lolita is visiting wonderland this week at Oh, Alice!  Since I have a few Lil' Lolita stamps, and now a couple of digis, too, that I picked up this weekend in the limited release, I decided to play along!  Maybe I'll win a few more!!  :)
By the way - you still have a tiny bit of time to go grab some digi Lil' Lolita's at the Tickled Pink shop!

The challenge at Oh Alice is White Wonderland - everything but the image panel must be white... that's kinda hard for me!  I was eyeing my red rhinestones.. or those black pearls I just picked up would have been cute.. or some nice funky rock n' roll ribbon I have.. but NO!  Leave it alone and stick to white!  I think I did ok!  I found some white glittery paper which I used for my scalloped ovals, and I embossed more white to add dimension.. flipped over some light yellow flowers for their white backs and some pretty sheer white ribbon.

Other challenges for this card:
Sentimental Sundays - Switch it up (New Technique or Style) - new style: all white

So I created this, using the sketch at Cute Card Thursday

SSC #48 - Back In Time

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Sunday, February 28, 2010 0 stamps of approval
Good Morning, Stampers!

It's another wonderful week at Stamptacular!  Thank you all so much for participating in our Going In Circles challenge - did you have as much fun with that one as I did?

Hey, Good News!  There's another Stamptacular Bonus Fun day coming up soon!  Yea, go ahead, get excited!  It will be LOADS of fun and full of prizes - including one from ME!  So, keep checking back for our weekly Sunday challenge and we'll tell you more about Bonus Fun Day!  I can't wait!

This weeks challenge is brought to you by:
Our very own, Sarah (Thanks, Sarah!)

PRIZE:  Stamp Set

Our theme for you is "Back In Time"
Create a project that replicates "The Good Old Days".  This could be something that looks vintage or includes something that just reminds you of something from many years ago when you see it.

I thought that I might struggle with this one, as "Vintage" isn't really my style.  So, I went with more of something that reminds me of years ago.
Some of you may know that I was a "Band Nerd" in school.  I LOVED band and I was pretty good, if I say so myself!  I auditioned for a part in DODDS All-Germany, which was a concert for the best musicians in the Military schools in Germany.  It was quite an honor to be accepted for that.  I also auditioned and was accepted to play with the Air Force and Army bands for special concerts involving Military students.  I even had the opportunity to meet my favorite composer, Vaclav Nelhybel, who composed many of my favorite musical pieces.  I have a picture of me with him somewhere.  Here's a funny story for you!  During that concert, I was seated directly in front of Mr. Nelhybel, at eye level.  I even had a small solo!  At the end of the concert, he was presented with a huge bouquet of flowers as a thank you for his participation.  So, after we all left the stage and went to find our friends and family, Mr. Nelhybel came up to me, with his huge bouquet of flowers and gave them to me!   I was right in his line of sight for the whole concert, so he chose me!  Pretty darn cool, huh?

Needless to say, for many years in my youth, music was very important to me.  It still is, and I do still have my saxophone, although I'm not sure I remember the keys anymore!

All of that brings me to my card today.  I chose to use some old sheet music that I had.  While in Germany, I came across a stash of some very old German sheet music, I can't remember where,  maybe a yard sale or something.  I suppose at one point I could have read the notes, if not the titles!  Now, though, it's just really pretty paper!  I chose a piece of music out of that huge stash to create this card.  I also chose to use Moody for Art as my image, thinking that she looks like she could be carrying rolls of sheet music to practice.

I hope you like my card, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

The sentiment says "Dance to the beat of your own Drum"

Challenge Friday

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Saturday, February 13, 2010 3 stamps of approval
Here's a card I made for a couple of challenges.

Totally Gorjuss - "Feel the Lurve"
Friday Sketchers - "sketch"
Cute Card Thursday - "In the Name of Love"

Totally Gorjuss and Cute Card Thursday want to see more love cards... oh boy.. I just don't have it in me to make yet another Valentine!   So, I went with more of a "thinking of you" with love card... I looked at my red papers and my eyes just crossed!  It feels like that's all I've used all month!  I sent Valentine's out to more people this year than ever!  So, I hope the team over at TG likes this one :o)

The sketch at Friday Sketchers was simple this week - they said they wanted our "hands-free" when it comes to the embellishing part!  Thanks, guys!

Cute Card Thursday

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Saturday, February 06, 2010 0 stamps of approval
I took a few hours this evening to go clean my craft room.  I turned my craft table, so that all I have to do now is turn my chair around to get to my Cuttlebug stuff, before I had to get up and walk across the room.  So much nicer now!  I also bought a portable light, so that I could try to get better lighting on my photos.  So, of course I had to try everything out!  I created a card that required lots of Cuttlebug use and took a photo with my new light.  Yay me!  And, now everything is pretty and organized and I can't remember where I put anything!!  Hehehe!

Here's my card - this if for this weeks Cute Card Thursday challenge - where the theme is Spots and Dots.

Thursday Challenges

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Thursday, January 28, 2010 7 stamps of approval
Good afternoon!
I was pretty bummed out about the Greeting Farm relay challenge ending abruptly (although, with good reason), so I didn't get any stamping done yesterday.  I did receive my free relay image yesterday, though, and I knew that, even if the challenge was cancelled, I would want to create a card with Prince Ian, anyway.  Especially since I have my very own Prince Iain! :)  I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers.  I had to do faux stitching on this one, because my little guy was sleeping in my craft room and I really didn't want to wake him up with my sewing machine!

All 3 of today's cards fit in with the challenge this week at KL Stampin N Scrappin - which is Nesties, Punches and Dies, OH MY!
What'd I Use?
Markers: Copics
Nesties: Petite Oval, Petite Scallop Oval

I had a Digi Day today!

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Saturday, January 23, 2010 11 stamps of approval
I was in a Digi mood today, so I made a bunch of cards using Digi images.  It was quite fun, especially as I haven't used many digi images before.  I'm very glad to learn that whatever ink is in my printer is "Copic Friendly"!!  Yay!!  :)

I am also entering all of these cards (except for the Lauren In Love card, as that's not digi) into the I Love Digi Design Team call - wish me luck!!

So, strap on your seatbelts, here we go!

This one is made for the Pollycraft Monday challenge:
