Teabag Happy Birthday

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Saturday, October 09, 2010 10 stamps of approval
Hello from the beautiful (and oh so very RAINY!) Washington Coast!!!

It's our annual Crafty Girls Weekend at the beach and I am here with my daughter, my Mom, my best friend, her Mom and 3 other wonderful ladies having a fantastic time!

I've never showcased this card on my blog before, because I made it for my super wonderful friend, Callie for her birthday and I didn't want her to see it... and then, well... yea, I just plum forgot to share it with everyone else!  Hahaha!  This morning, I saw the challenge at Oh Alice is to create a card with teabag folding and I remembered this card!  I just LOVE how it turned out, and I hope you like it, too!

Here's a few other challenges that this card will fit into as well:

Pals Paper Arts: Colors - Pear, Peach, Melon (there's some light pear in that stripey paper)
Party Time Tuesdays: Anything Goes Birthday
Cupcake Craft: Happy Hour!

I'm sure I'll be back with more fun stuff that we're doing here this weekend, but for now -

Ta Ta and Happy Crafting!!

Meljen's Back 2 School!

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Wednesday, September 08, 2010 15 stamps of approval
Ah, the first week of school... and I thought summer was Chaotic!!  LOL!

Our challenge for you this week at Meljen's is to create a Back 2 School card - or project of some sort :)

I've done a simple card using a new release image "Little School Books" and an image from a previous release "Back 2 School Badge"

I need to go back to the store and get more of this pencil paper, I think!  It's so much fun to use and I've used it alot!  I think I got 3 sheets when I was at the store, and this was the last small piece I could find!

I hope you can play along with us at Meljen's DT Challenge blog this week!  YOU could win 3 FREE images or be chosen as one of our Top 5 favorites!

So, kiss those kiddies goodbye, get them safely on the school bus and hit the craft table, my friends!

I'm entering this card into the challenges at:

Southern Girls Challenge - Debut - Anything Goes
Cupcake Craft - Books & Stories
Oh Alice - Sparkle
The Pink Elephant - Back 2 School

Meljen's Inspiration!

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Monday, August 30, 2010 3 stamps of approval
It's still birthday week at Meljen's!

There is a ton of beautiful cards that I just posted on our challenge blog to inspire you, so you should really go check it out!  The Design Team has really gone all out to impress you!

Here's another card that I made using this week's new release images.  This time I chose "Ride Em Cowgirl", I just think she is adorable!  My Dad says that she looks like my Emily... yea, I can see that!  I think she may just be almost as rambunctious as my Emily, too, from the looks of it!

Here's Emily with Bradley in January.... What do you think?

I think Emily could have modeled for this image!!!  LOL!  This is one of the many things that I love about Meljen's Designs!  Her children images always make me think of my own babies :)

If you haven't had a chance to join our Birthday challenge, you still have just a little bit of time left!  Come on, join the party!

Also, today is the last day to get Meljen's images for 25% off at Whimsy Stamps!  Grab your wish list and start shopping!

This one also fits the following challenges:
Oh, Alice - Girly Theme
Christmas Stampin All Year Long - Anything but Christmas
Sew Many Challenges - Happy Birthday

Miss Kellita in White

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Saturday, August 07, 2010 4 stamps of approval
Lil' Lolita is visiting wonderland this week at Oh, Alice!  Since I have a few Lil' Lolita stamps, and now a couple of digis, too, that I picked up this weekend in the limited release, I decided to play along!  Maybe I'll win a few more!!  :)
By the way - you still have a tiny bit of time to go grab some digi Lil' Lolita's at the Tickled Pink shop!

The challenge at Oh Alice is White Wonderland - everything but the image panel must be white... that's kinda hard for me!  I was eyeing my red rhinestones.. or those black pearls I just picked up would have been cute.. or some nice funky rock n' roll ribbon I have.. but NO!  Leave it alone and stick to white!  I think I did ok!  I found some white glittery paper which I used for my scalloped ovals, and I embossed more white to add dimension.. flipped over some light yellow flowers for their white backs and some pretty sheer white ribbon.

Sentimental Sundays - Switch it up (New Technique or Style) - new style: all white

Pretty in Pink Princess

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Thursday, June 24, 2010 4 stamps of approval
This card is an example of what I do when I have no idea what to do and just want to play around!  It was a fun card to make!  Hubby says "that's a whole lotta pink, but I like it, it's cute".  He's so supportive!

I'll enter it in some challenges, and see how it does!

Oh Alice #4

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Friday, March 19, 2010 3 stamps of approval
There's an awesome sketch over at Oh, Alice this week!

I went with a large 5.5 x 5.5 square card, because I wanted lots of room to play with.
It's a little busy with the patterned papers, but that's ok, because the whole thing just makes me
"SMILE"
:o)
Here's my card:

Pssst... I still have lots of stamps for sale!!  Check it out HERE!

Another week down the rabbit hole!

I colored this image the other day, just practicing with my Copics, still need practice, but it sure is fun!  As I was coloring it, I thought it would fit well into this weeks Oh, Alice sketch.  It fits, I guess... but I wouldn't say that it fits well, now that I've done it!  But it works, in a way!  :)

If you haven't taken a trip down the rabbit hole, yet, you really should!  This challenge blog is awesome and the DT just rocks!  I love the Alice theme, the background on the blog is just cool and so far, the variety of challenges keeps me hopping!

Here's my card:  (Trust me, it's not as neon as it looks in the photo!)
What'd I Use?
Markers: Copics
Patterned paper: K&Company "Berry Sweet"
Nesties: Scallop Octagon
Brads & Dew Drops from my stash

Oh Alice!

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Friday, February 26, 2010 6 stamps of approval
Whew!  I had to rush to get this one done!  I forgot that tonight was the deadline for the first Oh, Alice challenge!  I tried out for the Design Team for this Curious new blog, but didn't quite make it - but, Oh, the girls who did!  WOW!  They are just amazing!

So, here's my card for the first challenge, which was to use the inspiration from an amazing Urban Decay make up case.  I picked up on the mushrooms from the case, and the little squares of powdery colors and of course, Alice!

Please accept my apologies for the photo.. like I said, I was in a hurry!  I propped my card up on my craft desk and took a super quick photo!  I'm just glad my first photo wasn't blurry!
What'd I Use?

Markers: Copics
Sentiment: Sassy Studio Designs "Sassyland Sentiments"
