Hubby has a coworker who just "ran" off to Hawaii to get married and will be having a reception for those of us who weren't special enough to join them... ... at the end of the month. I can't complain, we did the same thing to all of our friends! Although, we didn't run off to Hawaii, we just had a very small wedding in Seattle with only family in attendance and a reception a few months later for all of our friends.
Anyway... I had quite a few wedding cards already made up, but he didn't like ANY of them! He wanted something specifically Hawaii-ish for them. I also had quite a few wedding images to choose from, and he liked this one best. Kudos to Karen Doodle's - you've pleased a darn picky guy!
This image was a joy to color, although I struggled with the dress... how exactly DO you color a white dress on white paper without white markers? It needed something, so I added a little pink and green, even though that's not a "traditional" wedding gown. So, add some Hawaii stickers and fun, funky, tropical paper and viola! You have a cute, fun Hawaiian Wedding card!
I hope you like it, and I hope the Bride & Groom like it as well!
Can't pass up a challenge, now can I?
Pollycraft: Here Comes the Sun (it's sunny in Hawaii, right??)
Oh, Alice: Little People (those are kids dancing in the image, aren't they cute?)
