Hi! I haven't posted an update lately, because, well, not much is changing around here!

Emily is still a little princess, 3 going on 13 and trying to be a good big sister. She has her moments, of course!

Bradley is currently outgrowing all of his clothes! He's such a big boy! He's a good baby, but he's still teething, and we still have yet to see a little toother. He is now 5 months old! And in big Bradley news - He found his toes this week! So now he is fascinated with pulling his socks off!

Iain's new job position is going well, it seems. He just started driving the van pool, so now we can avoid paying these high gas prices! It's nice that he gets home at the same time almost every night!

As for me, well.. I've been pretty busy! Emily, Bradley and I will be driving to Portland in a few weeks with Mom to meet my Aunties Barbara and Pauline for a week of shopping, crafting and catching up. That should be an adventure with both kids! I am also planning a Stampin' Up! party in my craft room for Saturday the 21st, so I'm busy trying to get all the paper cut and supplies ready, and, of course, cleaning my room! I've been trying to squeeze some rubber stamping and cardmaking into my days, and Emily has her own set of stamps and ink pads now, so she loves to sit at the table and stamp with me!

I hope you enjoy a few pictures from today.

Have a wonderful day!

So we were all hanging out on the floor after dinner last night and decided to take some pics... I think I need to go get a tripod for my camera, because I couldn't get it set up to get us all in the photo without someone actually holding the camera... so... hope you like the photos! It's hard to get everyone to look at the camera (Emily) and to get everyone to smile at the camera (Bradley)!!! But these two photos were the best out of the batch! Maybe next time we'll try to take pictures before we all put our pj's on!

Hope everyone is doing well, we all send our love out to you all!

Have a great day!

Bradley's Dr Visit

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Saturday, May 31, 2008 0 stamps of approval

Hiya! Just thought I'd update you on Bradley's latest visit to his friendly Doctor. Big Sister and I went with him on May 27th. Dr. says that he is a happy boy! He was 14lbs 14oz, she said he'd be 15lbs by the time he woke up the next morning! He was 25in long. He's growing well, and looks great, she said! He's teething, which is probably why he's been so fussy at night. He's also ready to have some rice cereal added to his formula! He'll be ready to start some solid foods at 6 months. She gave him 3 shots! Poor little guy screamed and cried! I felt so bad! But right when I picked him up he was smiling and happy again!
Emily was a good girl while we were there, she colored in her coloring book and talked to the Doctor. She got a Cinderella sticker when we left!
So, that was our trip to the Dr.
Have a great day!

Hi there! Just a quick post to say hello! I hope you enjoy the slideshow that I added today. I will try to keep it updated with photos.

The kiddums are doing great! I wish they'd stop growing so fast!

Monday is Memorial Day -
Thanks go out as always to all the soldiers who have, are or will serve to protect us at home. You are in our thoughts, and for those that are serving far from home, Be Safe. Don't forget to fly your flag and show your pride in our beautiful country. I will have the flagpole up and the flag flying by Monday... I promise!

Have a wonderful weekend, Take care of yourselves and Keep in touch!

Love, as always,
Dee and the Family

Hello!

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Monday, May 12, 2008 0 stamps of approval
Hi! Long time no hear, right! Yea, sorry about that... :o) Life is kinda hectic with a 3-year old "hurricane" as Grandpa calls her and a 4 month old little guy! But things are going great! Here are the updates!

Emily is a great big sister! She loves to help take care of her little brother, she especially likes to get him bibs that match his outfit - and they have to match! She is no longer in daycare, as we decided to take them both out, so that I can stay home with them more. We have signed her up for dance classes in July, princess themed, of course! She will have 3 weeks of classes, 4 days each week, and we will see how she likes that. We are also looking into swimming lessons for her this summer. We have signed her up for preschool at St. Joseph's Catholic School. They have classes going up to the 8th grade, so again, we will see how she likes it there. She starts her half days at the end of August.

Bradley is growing way too fast for my liking! He is already 4 months old! He is trying really hard to roll over and is thinking about trying to sit up. He is eating and sleeping well, and his Dr. says he is looking great, but a little too happy! He seems to be growing faster than Emily did and we already had to move him into a larger carseat! He is sleeping longer at night, actually slept last night from about 8:30pm to about 5am this morning! But, he had an eventful weekend, so he must have just been tuckered out!

Emily has a new puppy! We adopted him 3 weeks ago and he 13 weeks old now. He was marked as an Australian Shepard Mix, but he looks a lot like a boxer. He seems like he will be a good dog, boxers are said to be good family breeds.

So, we took both kids and both dogs to visit Nana and Grandpa this weekend, and we all went to Mommy and Me at the Zoo, at Pt. Defiance Zoo in Tacoma. That was a nice day! It was so much fun to watch Emily run through the zoo talking to all the animals! She had a great day, and she was relatively well-behaved. She sure got lots of smiles and giggles from other zoo visitors as we walked by! We timed the visit perfectly as it started to rain right when we were ready to head home. A quick stop at Trader Joe's before heading back to Nana and Grandpa's for the night, and that made for a full day! We all packed up to head back over the mountains Sunday morning. Although, having to stop in Redmond to get our all that stuff that we miss since moving, (such as: Jamba Juice, Malt Balls from Larry's Market, and of course anything and everything from the British Pantry for Iain!) made for a very very long drive!

Today, I am trying to have a restful day at home, but Emily is showing no signs of being worn out from her big weekend... :o) Maybe tomorrow we'll go to the library....

I'll try (as I always say I will) to keep more up to date here for you! Please bear with me!

To all the Mommies out there - Happy Mother's Day - You are the best, and you deserve a day to call your own!

Take Care!

So, it's been a while...

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Monday, November 12, 2007 0 stamps of approval

Sorry, I've been bad about posting updates.

Things have been busy in Richland.

Baby Bradley William is only about 60 days away and we've been getting ready for him to join us.

Little Miss Emily Rose is very excited to meet her new little brother. She asks about him all the time and always wants to know where he is and what he's doing!

The mommy doctor says that everything is going well, and I see him again at the end of the month.

My job at the hospital is going well also. I just accepted a full time position, so I'll be working more hours, but that's what I was hoping would happen, so I'm happy.

Iain and I are trying to buy our first home. We are in the offer/counter-offer/counter-counter-offer stage right now, hoping for the best. So cross your fingers for us! This house would be perfect for the growing family. Especially if we can get into it before Bradley arrives!

Emily had a wonderful time with Iain on Halloween (while Mommy was working). I hope you enjoy the picture of her in her costume! 3 cheers for the Red, White and Blue!

And speaking of the Red, White and Blue - It's Veteran's Day! - So here's a quick shout-out to all of those who have, are and will serve to keep our country safe and free. To all of those who are far from home and loved ones, Thank You for all you do, and please come home safe.
Don't forget to check out Dad's blog http://www.echo9er.net/blog/

Over and out... see you next time! :)

Hi! I know, it's been a while since I posted.. sorry. This is a picture of Emily at Nana and Grandpa Harper's house on July 14th. Iain and I went to a wedding of my friend Caroline from Bartell's, so Emily stayed with Nana and Grandpa. The wedding was beautiful, the weather was great, although the difference in 86 degrees in Richland and 86 degrees in Redmond was quite noticeable. In Richland, it's dry and manageable, in Redmond, it's hot and sticky and the bugs come out to nibble on me! I came home with no less than a dozen skeeter bites. Oh well, it was a fun weekend.

The job is going well. I've finished training, for the most part. I'm still shadowing other employees until August, just so that I get the hang of the schedule and what needs to be done when. I passed my IV certification last week, but I had to make a iv mixture that has to be incubated for 2 weeks. If it doesn't grow anything then, I'm golden, if it grows something, then I have to start over. So fingers crossed!

Emily is growing faster than any weed I've ever seen! She is talking so much and all the time, she just doesn't stop! Her new favorite phrase is "this is ridiculous!" She's so funny, but she's also so independent and stubborn at times too! I think she gets that from me...

So, for now, must go. I'll try to be better at posting... until next time --

I Got The Job!

I have a namebadge with my picture on it... I have a parking badge on my car window... I have to wear scrubs to work every day... You guessed it! I work in a hospital! Wow.. this is a whole new world to me! I am sure glad that it is a small hospital, because we run around it all day long! My first day was fun.. I got to meet almost everybody, I got to tag along with another tech to see what our job is, and I got a discounted meal in the cafeteria (which isn't too bad!). Everyone I work with seems really nice and eager to help me. We'll see how tomorrow goes! Here is a linky-do to my hospital - Kennewick General Hospital - Enjoy!

My "Choice Photo" for today... after bouncing off the walls until almost 1 in the morning, Emily seems amazingly chipper this morning. Mommy and Daddy on the other hand.. not so chipper.

Not much happening this beautiful Thursday morning. Emily is reading books. Jasmine is following me around the house. Anakin is enjoying his breakfast.
The Brad Paisley concert this weekend was AWESOME! He is a great performer and wow! can that boy play the guitar! His new single "Online" is great and "I'm still a guy" was pretty darn funny, too! His new album "5th Gear" comes out on June 19th - so everyone, go buy it, download it, listen to it...!
Well, that's all I've got right now..
'Till next time -

Happy (early) Memorial Day

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Friday, May 25, 2007 0 stamps of approval

I'll be out of town for the weekend, as I'm sure most everyone else will be as well.

I just want to express my thoughts on Memorial Day.

I was a Military child.
I moved when I was told to move.
I went to school overseas.
My friends are scattered all over the country.

Memorial Day gives me a chance to think about my Dad, about all of my family that served, about all of my friends that are serving, and about every soldier that has, is or will serve. I want to thank every single soldier out there for fighting so hard to protect the land that I call home.

America would not be as beautiful without each and every one of you.

Take a moment this Memorial Day and remember and give thanks.

I heard this on the radio this morning - "Memorial Day, it's not just another day off."
To my Dad - I'm proud of you, for everything you do, and thank you!
