Hello Cutie #2

Time for our 2nd challenge at Hello Cutie Challenges!

Since it's the 2nd challenge and it's the 2nd half of the month, it's time for a PHOTO inspiration!

This week, I stuck to my favorite art medium... PAPER!  As soon as I saw this photo, I had an idea for a card that I thought would look great!  I guess that's what a photo inspiration is supposed to do, right?  Inspired, I was!

Here's what I created --

And, here's our Inspiration photo --

I just loved the beadboard wall, so I duplicated that (in my way) with an assortment of white embossed papers.  I needed something at the top to soften the edges of my embossed strips, so I added the pink trim.  Then, due to a lack of butterflies, I used some gorgeous dragonfly stickers that I've had forever!  Since it's a card, it needed a sentiment of course, and I thought Fabulous was pretty perfect!

I hope you like it and I hope you are inspired as well!!

You can still enter our color challenge as well!  Because it was our very first challenge, it's open for a week longer than normal!

Remember, at Hello Cutie, we'll take ANY craft!!  Sew it, bead it, stamp it, scrap it, crochet it, knit it, decoupage it, sculpt it, paint it... I could go on and on and on!  As long as it's CUTE and fits our challenge, we wanna see it!!  Have Fun and be CUTE!

I'd like to enter this card into the challenge at
Paper Sundaes - Embossing
Sentimental Sundays - Sentimental
Cupcake Craft - Up in the Air

Card Makin' Mamas #17

Things are looking GREEN at Card Makin' Mamas this week!

Our wonderful sponsor, Some Odd Girl, has provided each of us with a fun image to play with, and we have combined it with our challenge of

Something Green

I'm just a wee bit late with my card this week, due to wisdom tooth issues, but better late than never and here it is!

If you haven't had a chance to join our Green challenge yet, there is still plenty of time!  Our challenges run for 2 weeks, so you still have over a week left to get your entry in.  Some Odd Girl is offering up a wonderful prize that I'm sure you would love to win!  So, come play along!

Oh, and you know what?  The colors I used also fit in the challenge over at Hello Cutie - have you visited this new challenge blog yet?  This is an ALL Craft challenge, not limited to papercrafts and we would LOVE to have you play along with us there, too!
