Karen's Doodles new challenge and BLOG HOP!

Karen's Doodles New Challenge!

I've got a quick post for you today as I am heading out of town for the week to spend time with my parents for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Here's my gift - which is actually a gift card holder made from a espresso stand coffee cozy!  It comes complete with a gift card so that the giftee can enjoy a yummy coffee!  These are so fun to make, and I have to thank my Mom for sharing the idea recently at our annual Crafty Girls Weekend at the beach.  We all had a great time making these (and lots of other crafts) and I am looking forward to gifting this very soon!

Here's a card that I made using one of those new release images.  This is Santa's Jolly Smile - isn't he the cutest Santa you've ever seen?  I really do love this guys smile!

To get all sparkley, I've got a ton of glitter on that pretty red flower and I even added some cute little rhinestones - aaaaaand - there is glitter ALL over Santa, too!!

Meljen's Special Release!

I'd like to bring special attention to a very important Meljen's Designs release!
Melissa - the heart and soul behind Meljen's Designs - lost her Dad, Keith Smith, one year ago today.  Melissa we are all so very sorry for your loss!  In honor of her Dad, who was an avid fisherman, she has created a special set of images to share with you.

These are just so cute and fun!  Each of these new, special images can be purchased in the Meljen's shop at Whimsy Stamps.

Please take a moment today to hug your loved ones, remember those that have passed and treasure those that are with us.  Life is short and time passes so quickly!

I've had a chance to play around with Pumpkin Pie Slice and I came up with this simple card, showcasing the yummy image!

I just love pumpkin pie... but... there isn't nearly enough whip cream on this slice - Melissa??  Pass the whip cream please?  LOL!!

Hi there!

This weeks challenge at Karen's Doodles is to create a gift box of some sort!

I've made a simple but oh-so-cute popcorn box that I will definitely be making again!!  This was so easy and so fun!  Simple measurements around your bag of popcorn and you're set!

I used the Movie Date image and a cute ticket sentiment that I found as a freebie somewhere in the blogosphere.

Karen's Doodles Challenge #36

It's time for another fun challenge at Karen's Doodles!

This week, we challenge you to make a Christmas card using only Black and White!  Of course, you may use other colors on your image, but not anywhere else!!

This challenge is harder than it sounds!!  I really wanted to do a bright red ribbon and some red rhinestones... and I wanted to highlight the embossing by coloring some of those ornaments... but, I like this card, it really makes Bigsby stand out and the card really is all about him, isn't it?

Crafty Creations - Starring Meljen's Designs

Meljen's Designs is sponsoring the awesome Crafty Creations challenge blog this week and a few of the Meljen's Design Team were invited to join in as Guest Designers!

Karen's Doodles #35 - Giving Thanks

Hello Monday!

There's a new challenge at Karen's Doodles today!

Our challenge for you this week is to Give Thanks!  This could be a Thanksgiving card, for those of us that celebrate Thanksgiving, or you could create a card showing something that you are thankful for.

I've created a card to send to a friend, as I am always so thankful for all the wonderful friends that I have in my life!  (I'm also thankful for my i-Rock, which is just awesome!  LOL!)  And, I'm thankful for Karen's Doodles as well, it's so easy to create with such fun images!

Also, we have an announcement regarding the Kids challenge blog.  With school back in swing and sports and other activities taking up so much of our little ones time, we have decided to put the Kids challenge blog on hiatus for the school year.  We welcome any kid creations to be posted along with adult creations on our challenge blog at any time!  The Kids Design Team will be back to inspire everyone in a few months.
