Happy Sunday, my blogging friends! Are you all enjoying the Stamptacular Sunday Challenges as much as I am? I hope so! I see more and more familiar names and faces submitting cards each week, and I am thrilled! Keep those cards coming, girls!!

This weeks challenge is WILD and CRAZY and FUN! It's called Party Animal and we want to see projects that feature at least one animal, partying it up! The design team have come up with some wonderful samples to share with you again this week! As always, I hope you visit their blogs and leave them some love as well! Line, Carly, Joanne, Kristin, Janneke, Liza, Joey, Jilly, Nikki, Paula and Priscilla!

Here is my card for this week! I really had a lot of fun with this one, so I hope you like it! I used a Dustin Pike digital image, and Stampin' Up! sentiments. I colored this fun-loving, party-ready giraffe with my Bic markers and added some Stickles to his hat, bowtie and noise maker.I've been wanting to try out this folding technique for a while now and I'm so glad I did! It's so easy to do, and I really think it makes a fabulous card! You can find a tutorial for it here.

Thanks for stopping by! Now, go... create a Party Animal card and join in on the fun! There is a prize up for grabs, so don't miss out!

Did my Mojo come home?

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 21 stamps of approval
Ok, so my Mojo up and went on vacation and left me behind... for shame!

I had some time today while Emily was at daycamp and Bradley was snoozing on the floor, so I tried to muster up a tiny bit of mojo to enter some challenges! I think I did ok to begin with... but I think I may have train-wrecked the last card! We'll see.. maybe it will grow on me!

This card is for Cupcake Craft Challenges #45 - A sketch... (I think almost everyone has sketches this week!!)
This card uses an image (Tilda?) that was sent by a friend (Norma, maybe?), My Mind's Eye papers, Scallop Oval and Classic Oval Nesties, Copic and Stampin' Up! markers and cardstock. The letters I believe are also My Mind's Eye, but don't hold me to that...

This next card is for the House Mouse and Friends challenge #43. This is one of my most favoritest stamps and I always love coloring these guys.. makes me want a nice cold martini - dry, extra olives, please! This is actually the first card I did today. This card uses House Mouse stamps, Stampin' Up! cardstock and ribbon, Copics and Stampin' Up! markers, Oval Nesties and an egg punch. I scored the cardstock in the grid pattern with my Scor-Pal.

This last card... well.. I think I may have pushed my mojo a little far with this one.. It's a little busy, a little crazy and maybe even a little chaotic? Hmm... I think I have a friend with a son who's birthday is soon? Maybe he'll like it! This one is for The Pink Elephant's sketch this week.

This card uses DCWV patterned paper, Stampin' Up! cardstock, The Greeting Farm stamps (Wild Things), Copics and Stampin' Up! markers.

Thanks for stopping by!

SSC #12 - Red, White and Blue and a Star, too!

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Sunday, June 21, 2009 8 stamps of approval
This weeks challenge at Stamptacular Sunday is all about the Red, White and Blue! The twist is to only use the colors Red, White and Blue - and to add a star (or two, or twelve) as well!

Think patriotic! The 4th of July is coming up! We just had Flag Day, the Army's birthday, Memorial Day - lots of flag flying days in the summer!!

For my card, I used some new paper that I got at my local scrapbook store and my favorite shiny paper from the Paperzone.. so even though the card looks a little simple, the whole thing really SHINES! It's really very, very pretty!
I used one of my newest House Mouse stamps 'Glorious Feeling'. This has been a favorite of mine since I discovered House Mouse and I finally decided to just buy it! He is colored with my Bic markers and my Copics.
Hope you like!
Thanks for stopping by!

Thank You Gifts

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 6 stamps of approval
In case you haven't already heard the story, our basement flooded a few months ago. The outdoor sprinklers were installed poorly years ago and created 2 sinkholes next to the window wells to our basement bedroom and office. The window well to the office filled with about 10 inches of water which eventually seeped through the window and flooded the whole room. Simultaneously, the second sink hole next to the window well to our guest bedroom, caused a leak through the corner of the house, causing much less, but still quite a bit of damage to that room. We called and got a water damage restoration guy out right away and he started work on both rooms. He pulled out the baseboards, lifted the carpets and set his machines up to dry the floors and carpets. Fortunately, we were able to save all the carpeting in both rooms! Unfortunately, we can't say the same for the wall in the office. There was so much water that the wall just would not dry out, so he had to cut a 14'x6' hole in our wall! That dried the wall out, but of course left us with a big hole in the wall! The good news is that this guy has a nephew who does drywall work! So, he started coming out and working on replacing the drywall. It took a few weeks, but they got it done and as of tonight - the repairs are finished! We even had the sprinkler guy out today, filling the sink holes and releveling the new sprinklers and repaired pipes in the yard.
Sooo... long story short, I needed to thank these guys! Now, I'm a cardmaker... that's what I do, I make cards. But guys aren't really big on cards, you know? So my Mom suggested I make a bag topper, so I took that idea and ran. I knew that both the "drywall guy" and the "restoration guy" were coming back tonight to finish up shampooing the carpets and putting furniture back, so I baked up a batch of Chocolate Chip Cookies. I colored some Dustin Pike images at work last weekend (with Bic markers), so all I had to do was mat them with cardstock (Stampin' Up!), put the cookies in bags and tape them up! Viola! Instant thank you gift for some great guys! They seemed to really appreciate it!
If anyone needs water damage restoration or drywall work done, call me, I've got the best names in the book!
Sorry for the long boring story! Here's the pics!

Wedding Card - The Pink Elephant #19

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 4 stamps of approval
I posted a few photos of the kiddums earlier today - so don't forget to go check out what they've been up to on the post below! :o)

This card is for the challenge over at The Pink Elephant this week - the theme is Weddings!
This is a card that I made for a friends wedding using one of my favorite card designs - the surprise pop-up! I love this card and it really is so easy to do!
I've used Riley and Sophie (an image that was sent to me by a friend), I colored them with my Sakura Glaze and glitter pens. The stickers on the inside are by Jolee... I think.. All other products used on this card are Stampin' Up!

I haven't done much crafting lately... which means I haven't done much blogging lately!
So, I just thought I'd share these photos of "My Little Rockers"! They were having so much fun playing with the microphone! Bradley's all about the cheering crowd and Emily is singing a ballad! They sure do have their moments! :)

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Sunday, June 14, 2009 9 stamps of approval
Happy Sunday, everyone! I'm here to bring you another challenge from Stamptacular Sunday Challenge! This week, we want to see what you are creating for Dad, Father, Daddy, Papa, Pops! Me, I just call him Dad. But he's my Hero and I love him, and he knows it!

The Design Team have outdone themselves this week! Go to their blogs and see what they've crafted up for Daddy! Gorgeous work, girls!! I just have to say, this Design Team is so much fun and I am so glad and honored to be a part of it! The girls are so incredibly talented, friendly and generous! We just had an image swap, and I can't wait to use some of the wonderful images I received! I'm hesitant to color them, because I don't want to mess them up!

Back to the challenge! The prize this week is being offered up by our very own member, Line! Thanks, Line!!

Here's my "Dad" card for you to oooh and aaaah and gush over (grin) I do hope you like it!
No, my Dad isn't into boating.... but I like the stamp set! It's actually my Mom's set, that I borrowed (thanks, Mom!) and I really love how the colors turned out and the perfectly matching ribbon I found in my stash... I am rather fond of this card! It's simple, it's manly and I think even my non-boating Dad would enjoy this one! (maybe)

Products used: Set Sail stamp set by Stampin' Up! All supplies by Stampin' Up! with the exception of the ribbon (from my stash), the staple (Fastenater) and the washer (hardware store)

SSC #10 - One for the Boys!

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Sunday, June 07, 2009 11 stamps of approval
I hope that this Sunday finds you well!

This weeks challenge at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge is all about the boy! This can be a card or project for any boy for any reason - birthday, thinking of you, congratulations, get well. The Design Team have come up with amazing projects as always and I do hope you get a chance to visit their blogs and leave them some love!

My card is kind of an open card, so that I can add a sentiment to the inside when I need to use it. I had this cross stitched image that I did a while ago, and thought that it would look nice on a card. I just cut the oval in the card front with my Coluzzle cutter, taped the stitched doggie in and covered the back with a matching sheet of Creamy Caramel cardstock. I kept the card pretty simple, as it's for a boy and they aren't much into the "bling and flowers" so I just added a cute sentiment and a nice ribbon. I like simple cards, they make me smile! I hope that you like it as well!
Products used on this card - Stampin' Up! cardstock, stamps and ink. Ribbon from my stash. Cross Stitched image from the clearance bin at Michaels.

The Greeting Farm Gardener DT Call

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Monday, June 01, 2009 6 stamps of approval
Happy Monday, everyone! I just wanted to quickly share these 2 cards that I made for the Design Team call at The Greeting Farm!
No, I didn't make the team, but that doesn't mean that I love these stamps any less!! I will continue to try out for the calls and one of these days, you'll see me among the uber-talented girls on the team!
The call asked us to make cards using yellow and orange - now this was quite a challenge for me, as those are not the 2 colors I usually turn to when crafting! Here are my cards, I'm pretty happy with them. This is Alice from the Wonderland set, she's colored with my Copics. I used Stampin' Up! Tangerine Tango cardstock, and ribbon and Imaginesce patterned paper. I cut the scallop circle with my Nesties. This is Hello Ian, he's also colored with my copics and I paper pieced his hat and coat with Stampin' Up! patterned paper. The flowers are leftovers in my stash. The cardstock is Barely Banana and Sahara Sand and the corners are trimmed with my Ticket Corner punch by Stampin' Up! I also added some Crystal Glaze to Ian's flower.
