I forgot to take a photo of the inside of the card, but the sentiment says "...especially if the salt is accompanied by a drink and good friends!"

I really love this card - the colors are so bright and happy and I LOVE how the microbeads came out in my attempt at creating "Salt" on the rim of the glass.

Meljen's Designs Challenge #43

Show some LOVE!!  Meljen's wants to see HEARTS on your projects this week!

That should be pretty easy, huh?

I made a cute little set that I'm mailing out to my Bestie for her birthday next week... ummm... I hope she doesn't read this!!!  Yes, I know it's a little "Lovey Dovey" for a friend, but who doesn't love their bestest friend??

 I started out making this little gift box that holds those cute little hand sanitizer bottles from Bath and Body works.  I saw this tutorial at Pink Buckaroo Designs around Halloween time and wanted to make some then, but I never got around to it.  Finally I had the time and mojo to put it together!  I struggled a tiny bit with the oval punch sizing to fit the bottle, but I ended up just "making it work", she'll probably have to tear the box apart to get the bottle out!  Although, knowing her, she'll never take it out!  She still has a popcorn gift that I made her YEARS ago, with the popcorn still in it!!

Then I thought that the cute little box needed a card to go with it, so I colored up another Meljen's image, popped up the x's and added more heart shaped rhinestones.  I followed the same "sketch" that I had used on the box, to make them match.

All of my papers are Basic Grey, Martha Stewart border punch and ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique at Etsy (go order some, it's amazing!  And tell her I sent ya!)

Karen's Doodles #47

It's BUTTONS time at Karen's Doodles!

This is such a fun challenge, I used to use buttons a lot, but they seem to have fallen to the bottom of my embellishment stash, so I never use them anymore!

For this card, I wanted to do something a little different with my buttons, so I cut out Emma's heart and laid out the buttons behind it to make a background.  I really like how it turned out!

I'm excited to share this cute project that I just finished up late last night!  Hehehe!  Nothing like the last minute, huh?

I started with a cute little pillow box to hold some yummy chocolates.  Now, don't get too excited, the chocolates were only for decoration.. I'll have to refill it before I give it away!

Then I made this matching card with a super corny sentiment!!  Hahaha!

Here's a happy Monochromatic card for you for Karen's Doodles 45th challenge!

This image is one of Emily's favorites, and I love the sentiment!  Here's a little story behind it... My parent's went  to Hawaii this past summer and they sent Emily a postcard with a photo of a Mermaid on it.  Emily has always loved mermaids and once she saw that postcard, she told me, "Look Mommy, Mermaids DO exist!!"  So, now she tells everyone that Mermaids exist, because her Nana and Grandpa sent her a picture of one from Hawaii!  :o)

So, Believe in Mermaids!

SSC #92 - Photo Inspiration

Hi everyone!!

Happy New Year!!!  I can't believe it's 2011.. wow.. 

So - Stamptacular Sunday has a wonderful new challenge to kick off the new year and I've made a Celebration card to go with it!

We've given you a photo to use as inspiration for your card today and I am so excited to see how the photo inspires you!

I took the colors of her beautiful dress, colored my Twisted Tea (from The Greeting Farm) images' hair the same color and added some golden tones as well.  I love my Skeleton Scroll embossing folder and I seem to use it quite a bit, even though it's not Halloween anymore!  LOL!
