SSC #29 - It's Fall Ya'll! And a Bonus Fun Hop!

I used a Happy Hopper image that was in my stash, some "unnamed" cardstock and some Daisy Bucket patterned paper. I colored the image with my Copics (LOVE my Copics!) I hope you like it, I sure had a lot of fun making this one!

Doodle Street Sketch
I had a little free time this afternoon while Boo napped and Em played in the playroom... so I whipped up a little card!
This is for the challenge over at my good friend, Cassandra's blog - Doodle Street! If you haven't visited this challenge blog, you must go take a look! They have wonderful challenges! And the Doodle Street designs are awesome! I don't have any designs yet, but I am hoping to get some real soon!
I know that they allow any image to be used in their challenge and since I needed a birthday card for my Aunt, I chose one of my Beautiful Day Fairies from Paper Make-Up stamps. This is Birthday Lauren, isn't she the sweetest? I always love to add glitter and sparkle to my fairies, and this is no exception. I stamped her with my Brilliance ink pad and colored her in with my Sakura glitter pens and a few of my Copics. The cardstock and patterned paper is from an "unnamed source" in my stash. The sentiment is a rub-on that was floating around.
Hope you like my card... and I hope my Aunt likes it, too! :)

SSC #28 - Spppoooooooktacular!
Just a few more weeks, friends! Do you know what you and/or your kids will be for Halloween this year? We're still undecided here... I know, I know! Every year, I think, we need to start earlier.. and every year, we buy our costumes at the very last minute! Ah well....This weeks challenge at Stamptacular is Spooktacular! Create something spooky to win a wonderful prize from one of two wonderful sponsors! The prizes up for grabs are: 5 images of your choice from Digital Stamp Oasis or a $25 gift certificate from Simon Says Stamp! WoW! Awesome prizes from Awesome Sponsors! My project is from CGW (Crafty Girlz Weekend) 2009! This idea is from my Mom - she taught us how to make this adorable tri-fold pocket card with 3 tags inside. I love the Halloweeny papers and my Gorjuss Girls are so happy to be part of this card!

CGW 2009 Beach Projects
Hi there! CGW (Crafty Girlz Weekend) 2009 is all done... so sad! It was a blast!
I've got some time this afternoon, so I can finally upload some photos and share with you some of what we did!

I'll start with my project: This is a Tri-Fold Shutter Card with the Fan Fold Flower. Directions and Tutorials from Splitcoast Stampers. This was my sample.
And this is the one that I made during the weekend. Everyone's cards were different colors, as I took an assortment of patterned paper and cardstock to use. They were all so pretty! We also discovered that the flower could be turned into a fan, which was fun!
Charlene taught us how to make these adorable bottlecap magnets! Surprising how pretty a bottlecap can be!
Louise shared this cute teabag flowerpot. So easy to do, and so much fun!
Paulette brought some fun felt and felting tools and we each made these adorable purses! I think I've found a new craft - this was so much fun! Here are all of our purses:

And this is mine:
Liz had some wheat sent over from Germany and taught us how to do wheat weaved stars. I pasted mine onto a card front.
Kim taught us how to make the Handmade soaps that she had given away at her wedding in August. Her wedding soaps were blue, I chose green and the pink one was one that Mom had made for Emily.
Lynda brought some styrofoam ornaments and taught us how to created a faux-quilted christmas ornament. We each got to a small and a large ornament.
I know there is one project missing.... I am saving the project that Cauleen (my Mommy) brought, as it is for my Stamptacular Sunday Challenge Blog Design Team post this Sunday. So check back on Sunday to see it!

Mojo Monday #107 - Mom's Entry
Hello again from the beach! Mom loved this weeks Mojo sketch as well and wanted to make a card of her own. Since she doesn't have a blog or online gallery, I will post it here for her and hope that the Mojo Royalty will allow her to enter the contest.

Stamptacular OCTOBER Bonus Fun!
I have gone through my collection... although it grows and grows, almost daily!... and want to tell you which stamp is my favorite. Usually my favorite stamp is the one I just got, even if I haven't used it yet... but I thought I should look for the stamp that I use most often... the one that I think is most "me", if you know what I mean..
So, I have decided that my favorite stamp is this one...:
This is Valentini, by Stamping Bella... I've used this stamp alot and here's why...
1. I love anything Martini... from the drink to the image. The shape of a martini glass is just cool, and you can put so much awesome stuff in it! And a good martini, mixed well and enjoyed with friends is the best!
2. This image is so much fun to color! I've done it in red and pink and purple.. it just lends itself to so many fun colors!
3. I love glitter, and this image just screams "glitter me!!!"

It's just an awesome image and if I had to choose a favorite, this would be it... although I did eye all of my cupcake stamps, too... but that's another post! LOL!
