Not much happening this beautiful Thursday morning. Emily is reading books. Jasmine is following me around the house. Anakin is enjoying his breakfast.
The Brad Paisley concert this weekend was AWESOME! He is a great performer and wow! can that boy play the guitar! His new single "Online" is great and "I'm still a guy" was pretty darn funny, too! His new album "5th Gear" comes out on June 19th - so everyone, go buy it, download it, listen to it...!
Well, that's all I've got right now..
'Till next time -

Happy (early) Memorial Day
I'll be out of town for the weekend, as I'm sure most everyone else will be as well.
I just want to express my thoughts on Memorial Day.
I was a Military child.
I moved when I was told to move.
I went to school overseas.
My friends are scattered all over the country.
Memorial Day gives me a chance to think about my Dad, about all of my family that served, about all of my friends that are serving, and about every soldier that has, is or will serve. I want to thank every single soldier out there for fighting so hard to protect the land that I call home.
America would not be as beautiful without each and every one of you.
Take a moment this Memorial Day and remember and give thanks.
I heard this on the radio this morning - "Memorial Day, it's not just another day off."
To my Dad - I'm proud of you, for everything you do, and thank you!

Gonna see Brad!
Brad Paisley!
Tomorrow night, ya'll! At the White River Amphitheater in Auburn, WA - The Bonefires and Amplifiers Tour!
Let's just say, I can't Wait!

Emily and Anakin
We've had Anakin, our Australian Rock Pebbler, for about 5 years. Emily is 2 years, 5 months old. She knows we have a birdy and he is usually "asleepy" while we eat dinner. Tonight, he was awake while we ate dinner and we decided that after dinner, we would take him out of his cage and let Emily meet him without bars. She was a little scared at first.. he's a big birdy for a little girl! But when he flapped his wings, she laughed out loud, she thought he was so funny! She was very gentle as she pet his wings and then she even held him... for a few seconds, almost long enough for the camera to catch a quick picture!

It's 9am in Richland.. Emily is still sleeping.. but apparently her crib isn't comfortable enough, so she had to move to her couch.

Welcome To Sprytebyrd's Blog Space
Hi! This is where I will post updates on things I see and do. Such as raising a 2 year old, living in Richland (our new city), finding a job, and other cool things that I come across. I hope you enjoy visiting and come back often!
