Lil Lolita Sketch!

I'm so sorry that this post is so late - I read my calendar wrong and was about to post the wrong card for the Lil' Lolita challenge today!  Eeek!  I'm glad I figured it out, though and that I had time to make the correct card today - so at least I'm on the correct DAY, right?  LOL!!

There's an awesome sketch over at Lil' Lolita this week!  The design team have all made beautiful cards using the sketch and each one is so different!  That's what I love about sketches!  They start with the same base, but end up being so individual and original!

I went with a gate-fold card today, and I love the ribbon tie that I used recently on another card, so I did that again!  This ribbon is GORGEOUS and SO much fun to use!  I love it!  It's Shabby Wrinkled Ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique on Etsy.  This is my first time trying it, so I only got one bundle... I see more purchases in my future!

Ok, here's Willow the Ghost in all her beauty!  She's getting a little Ghoulish tonight!

She's looking a little more like a spooky witch than a ghost here, but that just shows how versatile the image is!  You could color her cape up to change her look however you want!

Willow's gettin' Witchy!

It's October!!  That means that I am officially a Guest Designer for Lil' Lolita Boutique!!  Yay!!  But... my first official card won't be posted until Thursday with the new challenge... so, in the meantime, I have a little Witchy Willow to share with you!

I've got Willow in digi form, so I printed her a little bigger and had a blast coloring her!  I wanted her to be a little spooky with her light black hair and gray flowers, but still girly with her mimosa green dress!  I had some fun with my new Halloween papers, too!  The sketch is from the current challenge at Lil' Lolita.

Here's Willow all sweet and pretty and girly!

I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches for this one and I'm entering it into the flowers challenge at Card Makin' Mamas!

This is a bigger card than normal - it's 4.5 x 6.5 to allow for Willow's height - she's a TALL girl!

Lil' Lolita

There's a whole lot of pink going on here!

The challenge this week at Lil' Lolita is Roses - so, I've even got some pink roses!

I've been wanting to try the "out of bounds" Nestie technique for a while and I finally did it today!  It took some work, but I think it paid off, it's a pretty cool effect, huh?
