Mojo Monday #107 - Mom's Entry

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Monday, October 12, 2009 27 stamps of approval
Hello again from the beach! Mom loved this weeks Mojo sketch as well and wanted to make a card of her own. Since she doesn't have a blog or online gallery, I will post it here for her and hope that the Mojo Royalty will allow her to enter the contest.

I hope you enjoy her card this week as well!

Stamptacular OCTOBER Bonus Fun!
I have gone through my collection... although it grows and grows, almost daily!... and want to tell you which stamp is my favorite. Usually my favorite stamp is the one I just got, even if I haven't used it yet... but I thought I should look for the stamp that I use most often... the one that I think is most "me", if you know what I mean..

So, I have decided that my favorite stamp is this one...:
valentini
This is Valentini, by Stamping Bella... I've used this stamp alot and here's why...

1. I love anything Martini... from the drink to the image. The shape of a martini glass is just cool, and you can put so much awesome stuff in it! And a good martini, mixed well and enjoyed with friends is the best!
2. This image is so much fun to color! I've done it in red and pink and purple.. it just lends itself to so many fun colors!
3. I love glitter, and this image just screams "glitter me!!!"
Here's just one card that I've made with this image
It's just an awesome image and if I had to choose a favorite, this would be it... although I did eye all of my cupcake stamps, too... but that's another post! LOL!
Thanks for joining us at Stamptacular for another Bonus Fun Day! Hope you're having a great time!
Have a wonderful day!

My Design Team card is on top for the day- scroll down to see my Mojo Monday entry for this week - Thanks!

Happy Sunday, everyone! I'm checking in from the beach this weekend! It's our "Crafty Girls Weekend" and we are having a BLAST!! Be sure to check back later this week to see photos of all our projects! So far we have done card-making (by Me), teabag flower pots (by Louise), Soap making (by Kim) and Needle Felting (by Paulette) More fun to come!

It's another fun week at Stamptacular! This week's challenge is to use any character on your project!

Our Design Team has come up with some beautiful ideas! Our prize for this week is from YourNextStamp.com - this is an adorable set, I really wish I could enter to win it!! :)

I have chosen to use Horton, from Dr. Suess on my project, as he is one of the few character stamps that I own. I love the background paper and the sentiment... they both seemed very "Dr. Suessy" to me!

I hope that my card and the rest of the Design Team projects inspire you to create something full of character this week!
Thanks for stopping by and have a WONDERFUL week!

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Our wonderful sponsor this week is Emma, from Stampin' Up! (Thanks, Emma!)

I would like to welcome our new Design Team members on their debut week: Georgia, Carolyn, Aud Kirsten, Piali, Sarah and Simonne! Be sure to check out their amazing blogs and welcome them to the team! Staying with you for another 6 months are Priscilla, Nikki, Liza, Line, Janneke, Jilly, Paula and myself! Carly, Joanne and Kristin - you will be missed!!!

Here's my card for this weeks challenge:
This is a double diagonal pocket card that is super easy and oh so cute! I love this card! I used double sided paper, and I used the suggested alteration on Splitcoast to make it a card that opens as well.

SSC #25 - Tag!

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Sunday, September 27, 2009 7 stamps of approval
Time for another fun challenge from the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge!

This week's challenge is all about TAGS! Somewhere, somehow on your project, you must use a TAG (and some stamping of course!)

Our prize this week comes from our very own, Line!

My project definitely uses a few tags... well, I guess the whole thing is a tag! I've made this cute little mini-album/card using a tag template. I used chocolate colors and my chocolate stamps, thinking that this may need to go to one of my oh so sweet friends! It even has a little pocket on the back page to hold a little bite of chocolate!

Don't forget to visit the rest of the Design Team to see what they've made with Tags!

SSC #24 - Anything BUT a card!

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Sunday, September 20, 2009 1 stamps of approval
Good morning!

First, I would like to draw your attention to a very special blog candy. Our amazing Nikki has organized Blog Candy For A Cause, in an effort to raise money for Priscilla, the creator of the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge blog. Priscilla is one of the sweetest people I've had the chance to "meet" in this blogging world. Please, visit Nikki's blog for all the details, and if you can, click on the "Donate" button to help us raise some money. Also, please spread the word!! Nikki is offering up a huge prize, so for your donation, you receive a chance to win! You have until October 16th to donate and enter for a chance to win. Thank You!

This weeks challenge at Stamptacular Sunday is to create something that is NOT a card! You can make anything you want, as long as it is not a card, and as long as it has some stamping on it somewhere! Remember to visit the other Design Team members for inspiration as well!

Our prize for this week is being offered up by:

Carmen from Card Art

The prize is

Please remember, in order to be entered in our drawing your entry MUST be original and created ONLY for our Stamptacular Sunday Challenge!

So, have some fun with this one!

Here is my project! Again, I've gone with a Halloween theme, and I've made this cute little votive candle holder. It's made with vellum cardstock and stamps. It's really a simple design, but oh so cute when it's all lit up!

Have a wonderful week, and I'll see you again next Sunday for another Stamptacular challenge!

SSC #23 - Sketch

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Sunday, September 13, 2009 2 stamps of approval

Good morning, everyone!

It's time again for another wonderful challenge at Stamptacular Sunday! We have an awesome sketch for you to play with this week!

I decided to go a little "out of the box" for my project this week. I loved the sketch, but I wanted to make something other than a card for a change! So, I grabbed this package of JiffyPop (you know the kind, that you actually heat on the stovetop, and the foil on the top turns into a giant bubble that you pop to find all the yummy popcorn? Love those!) anyway.... I had the House Mouse image in my stash and thought it went great with my popcorn, so here we have it! One House Mouse popcorn-y birthday wish!Hope you like it! Be sure to visit the rest of the Design Team to see what they've created to share with you! Beauties.. I promise!

I look forward to seeing what you can do with our sketch! Have a great week, see you again next Stamptacular Sunday!

SSC #23 - Off the Wall Funny!

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Sunday, September 06, 2009 6 stamps of approval
Hello stampers!

This weeks challenge at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge is to make something FUNNY! Laugh out loud funny! Slap your knee funny!

Hmm... I have a pharmacist at work that jokes with me all the time, telling me that I "don't like to laugh"... mainly because I don't like the same comedy movies that he does! But every time he teases me, it makes me laugh, so he can't possibly be right! :)

But... I have to kinda chuckle, because when it came down to this particular challenge... I wasn't feeling all that funny! I just couldn't come up with anything! So, I went with an old Halloween standard and made up a little bag of Ghost Poop! I hope you like it, and I hope that it at least makes you smile, if not laugh out loud... Go visit the other girls on the Design Team - trust me, they're a lot funnier than I am!!(but, could you do me a favor? If you're in a really great mood, could you give me a good laugh, just to make me think my Ghost Poop really is funny?? Thanks!!)

Have a wonderful weekend - and a safe and happy holiday! Don't forget to fly your flag tomorrow!

SSC #22 - Scallop Mania

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Sunday, August 30, 2009 10 stamps of approval
Hello Stamping Friends!!

I'm pretty excited about this project, because it's the first thing I've done in what feels like weeks!! No kidding! There has been so much going on around here that I haven't had any time at all to sequester myself in my craft room and play! And I've missed it! I had about 1/2 an hour to myself this evening and I decided to go downstairs to my room and see what I could do, even if it was just clean things up a bit.. but once I got my hands on paper and stamps, there was no stopping me! I'm so excited, because now I can feel the mojo flowing and I am ready to get back to stamping everyday! Too bad I have to work all weekend... oh well, gotta pay for the stamps somehow, right?

Anywhoo.... onto the card! This weeks challenge at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge is Scallops, Scallops, Scallops! I think I met that requirement.. maybe.. although I wonder if I should have put a few more scallops on there... hmmm...

This is my brand new Halloween Anya/Ian set from The Greeting Farm (Looooove it!) and the new Scallop Octagon Nesties that I got for my birthday from my in-laws (Thanks!!) Add some rub on's, some pearls and some fuzzy spiders and "viola!" - cuteness! This is actually an envelope card that I am hoping a candy bar will fit in. I've used a magnet fastener under the scallops to hold it closed.

Well, there it is! I sure hope you like it and I hope that I've inspired you to go grab your scallops and create something wonderful for our challenge this week!

Thanks for stopping by! And don't forget to visit the rest of the awesome design team and see how they've used scallops this week! Priscilla, Nikki, Liza, Line, Kristin, Janneke, Jilly, Joanne, Carly, and Paula

Just a quick Hello!

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 0 stamps of approval

Hi guys! I noticed that a friend had searched through her stamps and came up with what she considered her favorite... wow...! That had to be a hard decision!

I decided to do the same with my collection... although it grows and grows, almost daily! Usually my favorite stamp is the one I just got, even if I haven't used it yet... but I thought I should look for the stamp that I use most often... the one that I think is most "me", if you know what I mean..
