Emily's Halloween
Hi All!
As promised I have photos of Emily's Halloween costume. But first.. yesterday, her preschool class took their first field trip of the year. And Emily's first ever field trip. I was a little worried (ok, a lot worried) that she wouldn't listen and stay with the group. I kept telling her to stay with her teacher. Well, her group of friends was with a chaperone, not a teacher and she ending up running away from him. I don't know where she ran to, but I'm telling myself she was going to a teacher, like we told her to... that's my story, I'm sticking to it! So, after that she was stuck to a teacher for the rest of the trip. Then they told me such a cute story, that is so Emily! All the kids went out to the pumpkin patch to pick their pumpkins, but Emily needed help... finding the smallest orange pumpkin out there! All the small pumpkins were green! So, they spent the whole time finding a small orange pumpkin just for her! When I picked her up, all her friends had the biggest pumpkin they could find, and here's Emily with her tiny, "baby" pumpkin! She was so proud!
She really really wanted to be Ariel, The Little Mermaid this year, but we thought it would be too cold and we wanted her to have something cute that wouldn't have to be covered up with a coat for trick-or-treating. So we talked her into this costume by promising her that she could keep it and play dress-up with it after Halloween! Now she's happy!

Haircuts
Hi Ya'll!
Today is Emily's first Preschool Picture day! So, of course, we had to take her out for a haircut last night (along with every other parent in the Tri-Cities area!) Fortunately we got there at a good time, and it wasn't busy at all! But the lady who cut her hair did mention that they were quite busy with school picture haircuts!
You can't really tell she got a haircut... it was just a trim to clean it up a bit.
And, while we were there, we decided to get Bradley's FIRST haircut! Finally, right?!?! Since he and I were at Costco and the cashier complimented me on my "Cute little cowGIRL, I decided it was time for his haircut! He did very very well! He didn't cry or fuss at all! He sat on Iain's lap and his haircut went very quickly!
But.. I cried when we got home! He looks so different now! He looks like such a big boy! His haircut is so cute, though! He's my handsome little man!
So, I hope you enjoy the photos!

A great Cause for some Blog Candy
Hi everyone! My great friend Callie is offering up many opportunities to win some great Blog Candy! Go check out her blog Callie's Craft Corner
She is offering up many ways to win, all in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. So, get out your PINK! Collect your pink paper, grap your pink ink pads, gather your pink markers and get stamping! And, showing what a BIG heart Callie has, for every PINK card she sees, she will send a PINK card to the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation to send to survivors.
Who needs Blog Candy? Let's show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness - Squish A Boob, Save A Life - or as Callie says - Save The Ta-Tas!
And, while you're internet surfing - don't forget to go to The Breast Cancer Site and click to give a free mammogram!
Thanks, Callie! I need to go get working on some PINK cards!
Update! Here's a PINK card for you, Callie! It's super simple... but, I guess I'm not "feeling" the cardmaking thing today! Simple can be good, right?

Changito Card
I made this card for a challenge in the Cute Critters Club over at CafeMom. We were given a sketch to use and only had to use a cute critter! I think Changito is a cute critter, don't you?
This card uses Changito Tire Swing, Changito Sentiment "Have a Swinging Time", Stampin' Up! Pacific Point and Kiwi Kiss cardstock, Crop-A-Dile Eyelets and setter. The white paper is text weight sparkle white from the Paper Zone, but I can't remember what it's called. Oh, and he is colored with Bic Mark-It Markers.

Bradley Bradley... Silly Boy!
So, this morning I looked down to see what Bradley was doing and he had crawled THROUGH his exersaucer! Then he was curled up inside of it, playing with a train... He's too quick for the camera though! But.. finally, I caught him! He was having so much fun playing!

Fun Statues!
After the beach, Mom and I did a little shopping before I went home. We found a new shopping center in Puyallup and stopped to check out the new Target and grab some lunch at the new QDoba (if anyone hasn't been to QDoba - you MUST go! They have the best burritos! We don't have one in the Tri-Cities, so I sure miss it!) Outside QDoba, we found these adorable statues! I wish I could have just packed them up in the trunk of my car and took them home with me! Emily and Bradley would have had so much fun with them! So, Mom took photos of me with each of them! At least I could take the photos home with me!
Crafty Weekend At The Beach
The girls spent the weekend at Pacific Beach, WA! We all arrived on Friday afternoon and stayed until Sunday morning. We had a 3-bedroom house with just a short walk to the beach. We arrived on Friday, just in time for a beautiful sunset - my camera doesn't do it justice, but here it is:
We all made plans to each bring a project to share with the group. Mom brought a scrapbook kit and asked us to all bring photos with us, so that we could leave with completed projects. I can't post a photo of my scrapbook yet... it's a gift... :o) Mom also brought journals for us to alter with a Halloween theme - that I can show you!
Kim, my best friend, and Liz, my Mom's friend both brought their beads and we made bracelets and earrings:
My best friends Mom, Charlene, brought ornaments, stamps, markers and glitter for us to make for our Christmas trees! These were so fun! I made one for Emily and one for Bradley, and I even remembered to date them!!
Kim brought her friend and coworker (and former coworker of mine), Paulette, who brought kits to make these amazing Fabric Postcards! We made our own sparkly fibers and decorated them with whatever we wanted and she sewed them all together for us. I only have a photo of one that I made (I actually made 4!) because we ran out of time and Paulette was sweet enough to take them home to finish sewing them for us!
And, I took the new stamp set that Mom bought and let me borrow - the Stampendous Sushi Party, Loads of Sushi and Sushi's Favorite Words, to make a couple of gate fold cards!
We really had a wonderful time! No kids, No dogs, No husbands! Just us girls, the beautiful beach (what little we actually saw of it!!), good conversation, great food and tons of crafts! It was nice to see what other crafters do, and get to try our hands at it as well. I think I could get into that fabric postcard making thing, that was cool.. but.. do I need another hobby? I already have the sewing machine... and it would probably love some use! :o) We'll see!
I hope you enjoyed seeing what we made! Thanks as always for stopping by!
