SSC $56 - Sew Special!

Designed by Sprytebyrd on Sunday, April 25, 2010 3 stamps of approval

Our challenge for you this week is called "Sew Special"!  We want to see stitches - either real or faux, however much or little you like!

Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp!
They are generously offering our random winner:
PRIZE: $25 Gift Certificate plus FREE shipping!

This week I had an idea in my head and it worked out pretty well, for the most part.  I really wanted to crank up my sewing machine and put real zigzag stitching all over this card... but I realized at the last minute that I didn't have any dark brown thread!  Sigh... oh well, I had some rub-on stitches that were close in color to what I wanted, so they will have to do!  I hope you like it, and I hope it isnpires you to Sew Something Special this week, too!
What'd I Use?

Markers: Copics & Sakura Glitter Gel pens

Be creative!

We have 2 sponsors for you this week:
Our Very Own, Paula:

Winner's choice of 8 images

I'm entering this cute card into the following challenges this week:

Ok, on to my card!

Some of our Design Team used the color inspiration and some used penguins - either way is fine, whichever you prefer!  I chose to use penguins, although I struggled to find a cute penguin image that wasn't too Christmassy... Thankfully, my Mom found me some stamps while she was out shopping and they worked perfectly!
Here's my Penguin creation for you:
What'd i use?
Stamps: Studio G Clear Stamps
Markers: Copics
Papers: from my scrap pile

I've had another fun week of trying to find fun stuff to post on my wish list!!

So, here we go!

1.  I totally LOVE the reusable shopping bags!  I have one from almost every store in my area and a few from around the country as well!  My Dad brought me one home from Boston and a coworker brought me one from New York!  This one caught my eye, though... any of my Disney friends wanna send me a R.A.K.??  LOL!  :o)
2. I'll be shopping for a new tshirt this weekend when Hubby and I go to Forks to be total Twilight Fans!
3.  I love Pandora Radio - could use this in my craft room!  It's an internet radio so I can listen to Pandora without having to use up the batter on my computer!
4. A Welcome sign for my front door
5. My poor puppy gets cold when we go out for nighttime potty walks!
(almost even looks like my pup, except Perry's black with a long tail)

Have a great week!
